We do not recommend giving over the counter medications to your pet unless directly instructed by the veterinarian. Unfortunately, there are no safe and effective over the counter pain medications. We recommend scheduling an appointment to be seen ASAP so that we can prescribe a safe medication for your pet and diagnose the source of their pain. Ibuprofen, aspirin, and Tylenol can all be very toxic to pets.
We do not recommend giving over the counter medications to your pet unless directly instructed by the veterinarian. There are many reasons for a pet to be coughing not limited to bacterial or viral infections, foreign bodies, heart disease, nerve disfunctions, and more. Conditions can become worse or even life threatening if treated inappropriately or not in a timely manner. Please call us today to schedule an appointment to make your furry family member feel well again!
We do not recommend giving over the counter medications to your pet unless directly instructed by the veterinarian. It is always best to treat the underlying issue rather than treating a symptom. Failure to diagnose and treat an underlying issue can result in worsening of the condition, no resolution, or even death. Many popular over the counter medications actually can make conditions much worse if used inappropriately. Please schedule an appointment with us today.
Struggling to medicate a pet is stressful for both you and your pet. Furthermore, it is important that they get their medications for the full duration of treatment to prevent a relapse or worsening of condition. We sell several products to make medicating your pet less of a chore. Trying pill pocket treats or using a pill gun works for many patients. Some medications can even be compounded into different formulations such as liquids or transdermal (topical) preparations. We also have several medications that can be given in injectable form. If you are struggling to get your pet to take their medication please let us know and we will be happy to give you suggestions or do a demonstration with your pet to find out the most effective way to make sure they are treated appropriately and improve!
